Description of the walk

Departure from Crouy-sur-Ourcq station.

(S/E) When leaving the station car park, turn left onto Avenue de la Gare to reach the centre of Crouy-sur-Ourcq. Pass Place du Champivert and continue straight on Rue de l'Épée.

(1) Turn left onto Rue du Cygne until you reach Rue du Général de Gaulle.

(2) Turn right onto this street. Pass the town hall and then Place du Marché. Turn left, ignore Rue de l'Église and continue to Rue Raphaël.

(3) Turn left, then left again onto Rue de la Récompense until you reach the junction with the top of Rue de Montanglos at the water towers.

(4) Take the street on the left, which becomes Route de Vasset, until you reach the second intersection.

(5) Turn onto the road on the right, then continue to the next path.

(6) Turn left onto this farm track and follow it to the D91. Turn right towards the hamlet of Vaux-sous-Coulombs.

(7) Turn left and cross the hamlet, go down the road opposite, then turn left onto Chemin du Lavoir.

(8) Follow it to the left until you reach a place called Le Vasset. Pass the mill to reach a crossroads.

(9) Turn right onto the street that leads to Cerfroid.

(10) Cross the D9 with caution, take the farm track on the left and cross the woods. Pass the Montigny-l'Allier cemetery at Fond du Vast and continue straight ahead for 100 metres. You will reach a crossroads before a water reservoir.

(14) Walk along the right bank of the Canal du Clignon. Pass under the railway bridge and continue to the bridge on the left.

(15) Turn left, cross the bridge over the Canal de dérivation du Clignon and then follow the left bank of the Canal de l'Ourcq to the Pont de Neufchelles.

(16) Without crossing it, turn left, cross the railway line with caution, then take the path on the right to the small Pont d'Arcole bridge which crosses the Ourcq on the left.

(17) Continue along this path through the Marais de Négando. At the end of the marsh, turn right and you will come to a fork.

(18) Go up on the left and continue straight ahead on Chemin des Vaches until you reach the D102.

(19) Turn right and follow Avenue de Montigny until you reach the first crossroads.

(20) Turn right onto Rue de la Procession, continue straight ahead on Chemin de la Carrière and turn left to reach the Oratory dedicated to Notre-Dame-du-Chêne.

(21) Continue along the path and turn left to follow the tarmac path of Notre-Dame-du-Chêne to Avenue de la Gare. Turn right to follow Avenue de la Gare.
