Start at the foot of the church in Villiers-sur-Seine (parking available in the neighbouring streets).
(S/E) Leave the church on your right and turn right (north-north-west) onto the Grande Rue. At the junction, turn right onto Rue Neuve (D49a1) towards Hermé. Leave Villiers-sur-Seine.
(1) Cross the Seine and continue along the road. Further on, you’ll cross a canal (the Port Montain sand-loading quay on your left). Carry on along the D49a1 to the village of Toury.
(3) At the junction, turn left onto Rue du Vieux Moulin. At the next junction, carry straight on. Stay on the main road and ignore any side roads. You’ll arrive in Hermé, pass a football ground and reach the church.
(4) Carry on straight ahead along Rue Émile Tripé (D18).
(5) Take the next left onto the D78 towards Noyen-sur-Seine. Follow this road south for about 2.5 km until you reach Port Montain.
(6) Then turn left onto the D49 and cross the Seine again. Stay on the D49 until you reach Noyen-sur-Seine, which you pass through until you reach the square with a metal cross.
(7) Turn left onto Rue de l’Église.
(8) Carry on to the church (where you’ll find a few points of interest, including gravestones and the graves of notable figures from the village). Then retrace your steps.
(8) Turn left onto Rue du Château and follow it to the gate of the castle.
(9) Turn right onto Allée du Château.
(10) At the Stop sign, turn left onto the D59A towards Villiers-sur-Seine.
(11) In the village, turn right onto Rue Neuve.
(12) Take thesecond left onto Rue de la Place des Fêtes. At the end of the street, first turn left then right to reach the church (S/E).
