The walk starts from the church square in Teilhet. As the square is small, alternative parking is available on the road to Vals (near the bridge) or in the school car park on Chemin du Pastourel. The walk is marked with brown signs that are easily recognisable by the Tabariane logo.
(S/E) With your back to the church, take the main road north for about 300 m.
(1) Take the gravel path on your right for about 600 m.
(2) Turn onto the path on your right: there is a sign indicating this at the two rocks. The short climb crosses a wooden portico and takes you to the cemetery, where signs describe the excavations carried out and the objects found.
(3) After crossing the cemetery, you can return on your left if you do not wish to climb any further, which will take you back to the gravel path (2). To continue the loop, climb up to the right to reach a superb viewpoint over the Hers valley and the Pyrenees.
(4) Descend to the right and rejoin the GR®78.
(5) Take it on the right to reach another viewpoint over the village of Teilhet. Continuing downhill, you will see the remains of a silo. The Impasse des Garrettes takes you back to the Place de l'Église (S/E).
