The Brogne circular starting from Les Galiniers

The trail starts from a clearing located about 500 m after the hamlet of Les Galiniers: first forest path on the right, Route des Galiniers, towards Parisot. Parking available.

(S/E) Take the path that leads directly into the undergrowth on the right. Follow the path downhill to the intersection with the discovery trail marked by wooden signs: Giroussens town logo, yellow Y on a black background.

(1) Please note: ignore the first path at the bottom of the valley on the right, in a gully. Take the next one, about 50 metres further on, downhill: signposted Sentier de découverte.

(2) Leave the Discovery Trail and take the Brogne circular path on the left, at the fitness trail: yellow sign and markings. Cross Route de Malaterre and continue straight ahead on the path below. Pass Le Crudel and you will reach an intersection.

(3) Take the path uphill on the left. Pass Darasse on your right and continue to the Brogne crossroads.

(4) Go straight ahead to follow the path, passing the farm and sheds on your left, then follow the vineyard to the end, following the yellow markings. Return to the path and continue along the reservoir on your right.

(5) Turn left and reach a fork near Vayssié.

(6) Take the path uphill on the left.

(7) Follow the forest path downhill to the right. Go around the field, heading to the left, and rejoin the Giroussens Discovery Trail.

(8) Turn left and continue straight ahead along the grassy path at the crossroads about 50 metres further on.

(9) Take the stony forest path that climbs up to the right and continue straight ahead to the car park in the clearing (S/E).

The route can be extended by following the circular La Brogne (see Visorando description) via Parisot from point (4). Return to (5).

Hike suitable for all weather conditions.

Easy access and signposted:

• Discovery trail: directional signs bearing the Giroussens commune logo (yellow Y on a black coat of arms background).
• La Brogne circular: yellow line.

Suitable for mountain biking.

The route is used by horse riders near the Cantemerle stables: from (6) to (S/E). Keep dogs on a leash.

You can start from the Saint-Pierre du Puy aux Galiniers chapel (car park), which adds 1.2 km to the route.
