Description of the walk

There is a car park near the playground. This is an easy family route.

(S/E) Go around the children's playground and join the marked path that runs alongside the River Auzon. Follow this path heading north with the Auzon on your left and you will arrive at Avenue du Stade.

(1) Turn right and walk up the street for 200 metres. Turn left onto the path at the pedestrian crossing. Walk alongside the Espace Verger du Caire and continue to Route des Martres.

(2) Cross the road, continue straight ahead on the path and make sure you keep the Auzon on your left. When you reach Rue Cugnot, turn left and go under the railway bridge.

(3) Cross the street and turn right. The path is just next to the Auzon on your left. Follow it to Rue du Vallon.

(4) Cross the street, go down a slope and continue straight ahead. The path is narrower and still runs alongside the Auzon. Further on, cross a small copse. The path climbs to a large open area. At the intersection, take a path on your right to the railway bridge.

(5) After passing under the bridge, turn left and follow the railway line to a rest area.

  • Shortcut option in practical information.

(6) Turn right, walk a few dozen metres across the car park and take the path on the right that will take you back to the village. At the intersection, take the path on the left, walk along a housing estate until you reach Route des Martres.

(7) Cross it and take Rue de la Montorière, slightly to your right. Take the pavement on the left and walk up the street. At the top of this street, turn left and walk 30 metres to reach the tarmac path overlooking the road.

(8) Follow this tarmac road to the right, which goes straight downhill. At the bottom of the slope, 50 metres from the Auzon, the path turns right and leads to the car park (S/E).

Just at one point, you cross over a bridge instead of going underneath it
because underneath there is a railway line. Otherwise, it's a pleasant walk to do with the family.
