The starting point is at the schools or the Veyras town hall. Parking available.
(S/E) Return towards the war memorial and turn left onto the Sentier de Bescut, which leads to this hamlet.
(1) Head down to the left and enter the woods via a pretty path lined with sandstone walls. Cross the Charalon near the Pont des Chats.
(2) Head up to the left until you reach a crossroads (elevation 453m).
(3) Turn right and start the nature trail.
(4) At the road, turn left to complete a circular route and return to the junction you have already passed.
(3) Turn right again and follow the interpretive trail to the Col de la Pierre Plantée (where there is a table and picnic area for a well-deserved break).
(5) Head towards the hamlet of Flachères, first following the Chemin du Bois Laville to the right, heading north-west. You’ll reach a fork (elevation 443) at a sharp bend in the track.
(6) Turn left, heading south-west, onto a path to tackle a relatively short but steep climb until you reach a road.
(7) Follow it to the right for a few metres and, just before entering Flachères, turn left onto the Chemin des Tombeaux Antiques, heading back into the forest. Turn right onto a track, continuing until you reach another cross-track (elevation 450).
(8) Head down to the right to reach the Charalon. This is a protected wetland. Follow the path to rejoin the Veyras road (D460).
(9) Follow it to the left to reach the town hall (S/E).
