Start : Waters Edge visitor centre car park (DN18 5JW) in Barton Upon Humber.
(S/E) From the car park head to the vehicle entrance; you will see a dance studio in front of you and to the right of it, you will see a public footpath entrance.
Head right and take this footpath through the woods following the path over a small wooden bridge. Then, continue on the same path around the bends and along the straight path (East) with a pond on the left and a small fence on the right until you reach a T-junction.
(1) Take a right turn (South) and follow the path all the way around the pond until you reach another small wooden bridge and a narrow road exiting the country park.
(2) Take a right turn (South) and follow the road over a level crossing as it bears round to the left past a few industrial units and a large lorry park for around 800m.
(3) As you reach Pasture Road South on your left, and just before a weir, turn left onto this minor road. Keep straight at the junction, this will take you behind some industrial units and then onto the public footpath.
Follow this footpath (East) along the field edges as far as it takes you, you will be walking at the bottom end of a large Wren factory.
(4) Cross right over a ditch into a new field and follow the path as it curves left until you reach a road (West Marsh Lane).
(5) Carry straight on once reach the road, usually very quiet passing a couple of farms until you reach a T-junction.
(6) Turn left and follow the road (Ferry Road East) through the village of Barrrow Haven. Walking through the village you don't need to make any turns.
(7) Go past the pub The Haven Inn on your left, which is great for food, beer or a coffee if open when your passing and carry straight on until you reach the train line.
(8) At the train line turn left for approx 50 yards (do not go into the boat yard, although a public footpath, it will take you the wrong way) through a small gate and right (North) onto the Humber bank footpath. This footpath takes you all the way back to Waters Edge visitor centre car park so keep walking for around 3.5 Km with the water on your right-hand side ignoring any ways coming from the left.
(9) Go past the Visitor centre café and keep walking along the footpath always heading towards the Humber Bridge and back to the car park. (S/E)
