Park in the car park on the left, on Route de Cabourg, just after the sewage treatment plant.
(S/E) With your back to the road, head left from the car park and take the small path that runs between the sewage treatment plant and the bay.
(1) At the first junction, take the path on the right. A birdwatching hide is located directly opposite. Continue along this path which runs alongside the sea until you reach a beach. If the tide is out, you can continue along the sand, but if it is high, you will need to take the paths leading up to the right to reach the embankments.
(2) At the end of the beach, head up to the left to take the path above and continue along the coast. When you reach the boats and the restaurant, walk past the restaurant.
(3) At a sort of roundabout, take the path opposite, a small sandy track that leads you back to the water’s edge. Make sure you follow the water’s edge all the way. The path leads you north-east, further inland but still along the water’s edge.
(4) When it is possible to cross the water, take a path on the left, which leads to Merville-Franceville Beach via the dunes. Follow the coast eastwards.
(5) At the surf school, take the path on the right which leads inland and joins a cycle path.
(6) Turn right onto it, continue through the dunes until you reach a road and a car park on your right.
(7) Cross this road to continue on the cycle path. At the junction, take the path on the left, which leads directly to the car park (S/E).
