Starting from Lanriot Chapel, you can park behind the chapel. Picnic table nearby.
(S/E) Set off from behind the chapel, head down towards the river (Anse de Lanriot) and take the path to the left. Follow the coastal path to Port du Bélon. By staying on the road rather than heading down to the car park, you’ll get a better view of the harbour.
(1) At the bottom of the harbour, take the steps to the right of the cruise ticket office. At the top of the steps, turn right and continue along the coastal path.
(2) At Anse du Gorgèn, at low tide you can see the racks on which the famous oysters are farmed. Continue along the path.
(3) The oyster beds were once monitored from this little house. Continue along the path past the Domaine de Beg Porz. There are a few tricky sections further along the path. A few metres before the keepers’ house, you can take the path on the left to join the road to Kerfany. Head towards the headland to resume the walk from the Fusiliers’ Monument.
(4) At the end of the war, members of the Resistance and an English pilot were shot and buried here.
Join the road on the side of the monument. At the headland, you can see the mouths of the Bélon and the karstic cave, and the Glénans islands in good weather. Orientation board. Walk through the Kerfany-les-Pins housing estate to reach the beach. After the restaurant "L'Auberge de la Mer", follow the coastal path to the grey beach (named for the colour of its sand).
(5) Take the path on the left, after the tide pool and the bench and before the descent to the beach, leading to the village of Kermen, after crossing the D116. A former fishing village, these houses have been particularly well restored. Once you enter the village, turn onto the first road on the left, then onto the path on the right at the end of the road. Follow this to reach the Chapel of Saint-Gwenaël (Saint-Guinal on the map).
(6) Take the small sunken path, at the top right of the chapel, which leads into the undergrowth. After crossing the stream, turn left, then take the first right.
(7) At the top of the hill, follow the tarmac road to the right to join the Route de Kerfany (Rue de Bel Air). Continue a few metres to the right, turn left, then right and left again to enter the village of Kersel via the Rue des Marins. Once again, an old fishing village, with a beautiful thatched cottage and several sundials on the houses. At the lowest point of Rue des Marins, turn left onto Allée de la Chapelle, which leads back to the starting point (S/E).
