Park at the Carabiol car park near the leisure area.
(S/E) From the car park, cross the leisure area and leave it by turning right towards Le Sauze along a good path.
(1) After about 300 m, turn onto the path climbing up to the left towards Panissière. Then turn left to descend to the hamlet of Caussonille: it is possible to continue straight on towards Bouzarit and, from there, reach point 3, which extends the route slightly.
(2) Turn right onto the tarmac road, then left at the first fork. Continue along a path heading north-west until you reach the Bouzarit junction.
(3) Continue towards Panissière by going straight on along the track, which climbs gently northwards towards the Mas des Roberts and then the Mas des Mathieux. Pass these two farmhouses and continue to a T-junction.
(4) Leave the Panissière route and turn left under a power line, heading towards Arbousse.
(5) Continue to the right until you reach the D906.
(6) Follow the path on your left, running parallel to the road, which takes you through this magnificent 14th-century farmhouse. Stay on the path, ignoring the main road, and continue to the right-angled bend before the hamlet of Les Coudounels.
(7) Be sure to turn right onto the path, which climbs gently until it reaches a magnificent viewpoint over the Alès valley (altitude 291m) before descending quite steeply to the hamlet of La Minette (a former pyrite mine closed in the 1950s, of which almost nothing remains) where you join a DFCI track.
(8) Turn right to follow this track until you reach a first fork, where you turn left onto the tarmac road which, after about 500 m, joins the D416.
(9) Turn left onto the D416, pass the former Abbaye des Fonts and continue to the D316a, which you follow to the right for about 60 metres before taking the first road on the left (Chemin du Serre de Courlas). At the T-junction, continue straight on to the Chemin de Caussonille
(10) Walk up the street on the left for about 100 metres before turning right to return to the starting point, following the yellow markings (S/E).
