(S/E) Cross the D996 and turn left onto a path through the woodland that runs alongside the Canal de la Cent Fonds (heading north).
(1) You arrive opposite the Forgeotte farm, the site of the first settlement of the monks of Cîteaux in 1098. The current château dates from the 19th century. You can see a deer park.
Continue along the path until you reach the junction with the D25. There is a picnic area here, as well as a mural and a sculpture carved into a tree that fell during the 1999 storm.
(2) Turn left and follow the D25 for about 1 km to the village of Corcelles-lès-Cîteaux, where there is a picnic area in the woods on the right at the entrance to the village.
(3) Continue for about 100 metres on the D25, then turn left onto Rue des Chênes, until you reach the D996.
(4) Follow it to the left towards Seurre until you reach the edge of the village.
(5) On the right, take a small local road towards Villebichot. Pass the sewage treatment plant on your left.
(6) Shortly after entering a wood, at a fork in the road, take the path on the right.
(7) Turn onto the second path on the left, then, at the end, take the path on the left. Cross the small road leading from Corcelles-lès-Cîteaux to Villebichot, then take the first path on the right until you reach the Grange Neuve forest road.
(8) Follow this forest road to the left until you reach the D116, which joins theGR®® de Pays "Sur les traces des Moines de Cîteaux".
(9) Then follow the D116 to the left until you reach Cîteaux Abbey (S/E).
