Description of the walk

Park in the car park on the banks of the Allier. It can be reached via Rue d’Allier.

(S/E) Take a wide path of pink sand that runs alongside the river. A few dozen metres further on, turn left onto a wide track.

(1) Turn left and continue along this path for about 2 km.

(2) Leave this lovely path and turn left. Carry on for about 800 m until you reach a crossroads.

(3) Turn left and you’ll reach another crossroads.

(4) Turn left onto a grassy path and follow it straight on for about 2 km.

(5) Viewpoint overlooking Mezel, Dallet and Cournon. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the Quai de la Moie.

(6) Carry on in the same direction. Cross a road and head straight ahead to reach the car park (S/E).
