(S/E) Set off from the southern side of the village of Ribeauvillé on the Way of St James, marked by a scallop shell on a blue background near a statue of the Virgin Mary on the corner of the street that skirts the village.
(1) Pass through the village of Hunawhir, heading uphill to the right and then to the left, following the GR® markings.
(2) Walk above the village of Riquewihr and continue due south, following the GR® signposts.
(3) At a crossroads marked with a cross, head up to the right, then halfway up, turn left, following theGR® signposts. Follow the path to Kaysersberg, with a lovely view of the village.
(4) Near the end of the walk, do not head down into the village but take a vineyard path on the right which leads directly to the castle you can see; visit the castle, then head down to the village via the side, following a small path that descends to the north of the village

(5) On the way back, as you leave the village, take a path to the left then to the right, heading back down near the D28 road
(6) Turn left onto a vineyard path heading due north, rejoin theGR® de Compostelle by passing the cross again, and head to Ribeauvillé (S/E).
