Circular route on varied terrain (forest, country lanes, canal bank) offering the chance to discover:
- a forest ranger’s house built of pink sandstone, with its arboretum and observation point,
- bunkers dating from the Second World War with views across the whole of the Albe valley,
- a 10th-century chapel and a military cemetery,
- a bridge over the coal-mining canal, built before 1867.
The return leg of the circular route follows the canal.

The main highlight of this route is Montdidier. Perched on a promontory, the village offers remarkable views across the entire area. The orientation table and various facilities allow you to make the most of the site. Half of the route runs along the edge of the forest, which is very pleasant on hot days.
