Beautiful hike starting from the municipal lake in Clugnat, along a small country road running alongside the Verraux river and lined with majestic beech trees. In Poussange (420 m above sea level), there is a lovely viewpoint over the surrounding countryside and Clugnat. The walk follows a path through fields and woodland. The return journey crosses a wooden bridge over the river.

Enjoy a beautiful walk through the woods to discover the Pierres Jaumâtres, an iconic natural site in the north of the Creuse. You will discover this listed site and its legend, a favourite walking spot of George Sand and Chopin when they stayed at the Château de Boussac.

A walk in the footsteps of medieval Boussac. As you stroll along, you’ll discover the remains of the city walls and fortification towers; through the old city gate, you’ll enter medieval Boussac and wander through its streets and alleyways. You’ll pass the old mill below the castle and walk alongside the Petite Creuse river, emerging onto the bridge which offers a superb view of Boussac Castle, where the writer Georges Sand once stayed.
