It takes in some high cliffs with views across the sea and fields passing the site of the Loftus Alum Works on the way. The first half of this way climbs using a mix of steps and steep grassy paths, some quite close to the cliff edge.

Walking England Coast Path - Saltburn to Skinningrove

This stretch of the England Coast Path connects the busy town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea with the quiet village of Skinningrove via some exposed cliff tops following the same route as the Cleveland Way. Along the way check out the sculptures and continue with the sculpture trail around Skinningrove.

Walking England Coast Path - Staithes to Runswick Bay

A fairly short but interesting circular walk starting from the parking at Kildale Station. It ascends via a private road and then along a track through the woods to emerge on the moor top near to Capt. Cooks Monument. The walk then descends through the woods and contours along the bottom of the hill before descending again to follow the side of the River Leven, passing a waterfall before joining the road back to Kildale.
