  2. 1 : km 0.02 - alt. 11 m - Leaving the station from the westbound platform (north exit), turn right to the main road. (If you arrive on the westbound platform to Havant, turn left out of the station exit and then left again to go over the level-crossing to join the route at direction point 3.)
  3. 2 : km 0.07 - alt. 10 m - At the main (Stockbridge) road, turn left.
  4. 3 : km 0.11 - alt. 10 m - Keep forward along Southgate. (It is advisable to get into the right hand lane ready for the next turn. There is an advanced cycle area at the traffic lights.)
  5. 4 : km 0.25 - alt. 12 m - Keep forward along South Street.
  6. 5 : km 0.31 - alt. 12 m - Opposite The Fountain pub, turn right along Old Market Avenue.
  7. 6 : km 0.42 - alt. 12 m - Continue round a sharp left hand bend and then, almost immediately, turn right into the Pay and Display Carpark.
  8. 7 : km 0.65 - alt. 14 m - Continue forward all the way through the car park to turn left at the far exit (Friary Lane).
  9. 8 : km 0.72 - alt. 14 m - Continue forward across East Pallant (contra-flow.)

  22. 21 : km 2.57 - alt. 19 m - Bear slightly left to follow the shared use path through the lightly wooded area.

  24. 23 : km 2.95 - alt. 19 m - Keep forward across the entrance to the carpark and continue along the shared use, roadside path.
  25. 24 : km 3.13 - alt. 17 m - Cross the main road at the light controlled crossing to your right then turn left along the shared use roadside path.
  26. 25 : km 3.36 - alt. 18 m - Follow the shared use path around the roundabout (anti-clockwise) crossing the Chichester Bypass and continuing forward along Stane Street.
  27. 26 : km 4.07 - alt. 19 m - Continue forward along Stane Street until Coach Road (brown sign 'Chichester Watersports') comes in on the right. Cross Stane Street and turn immediately left into Claypit Lane.

  29. 28 : km 5.77 - alt. 30 m - At the roundabout, continue forward into Kennel Hill.

  35. 34 : km 11.62 - alt. 65 m - Turn left (Charlton Road.) (The 'Fox Goes Free' pub can be found at this junction.)

  38. 37 : km 12.83 - alt. 58 m - At the crossroads, continue forward. (The Partridge Inn can be found at this junction and there is a cafe a short detour to the right along Cobblers Row.)
  39. 38 : km 12.99 - alt. 57 m - At the T-junction, turn left along the A286.
  40. 39 : km 14.65 - alt. 66 m - In just over a mile, at the end of the stone wall bordering West Dean College, turn left into Church Lane.
  41. 40 : km 14.77 - alt. 54 m - At the church, follow the road around the bend to the left.
  42. 41 : km 14.91 - alt. 50 m - Keep straight on at the first turning on the right.
  43. 42 : km 15.12 - alt. 47 m - Pass a prominent white cottage on the right. When explored in June 2021, the northern section of The Centurion Way was closed to deal with ash die-back (expected to be closed until the autumn). - To follow the advised diversion, continue forward. - To follow the main route when re-opened, turn right just past the white cottage.
  44. 43 : km 15.24 - alt. 47 m - Two diversions around the closure are posted: 1) Continue round the bend to the right and then left along the A286 2) Bear left onto the bridleway
  45. 44 : km 15.7 - alt. 65 m - Continue up a slight incline then ignore the path straight ahead and turn to the right along a more twisty path.
  46. 45 : km 15.87 - alt. 69 m - Bear right along the path at the field edge.
  47. 46 : km 16.95 - alt. 54 m - Continue forward through two gates and finally over a grassed path until you reach a clear path to your right. Turn right.
  48. 47 : km 17.22 - alt. 39 m - Cross the bridge over The Centurion Way and, in about 100 yards, double back along the track on your left to re-join the main route. (There is a very steep path down from the bridge but the suggested route is much easier.)
  49. 48 : km 17.36 - alt. 42 m - Continue south along The Centurion Way.
  50. 49 : km 18.66 - alt. 34 m - Bear left around the green and then left again into Lavant Down Road.
  51. 50 : km 18.96 - alt. 33 m - Pass through the traffic barrier into Springfield Close
  52. 51 : km 19.15 - alt. 32 m - As Springfield Close bends to the right, turn left into Churchmead Close.
  53. 52 : km 19.46 - alt. 35 m - Turn left (through a parking area) into Warbleheath Close.
  54. 53 : km 19.57 - alt. 35 m - At the end of Warbleheath Close, pass under the railway arch and continue forward on the Centurion Way
  55. 54 : km 23.76 - alt. 6 m - Bear left along Westgate.
  56. 55 : km 23.99 - alt. 8 m - At the mini-roundabout, turn right.
  57. 56 : km 24.02 - alt. 8 m - Almost immediately, take the share use path on your left.
  58. 57 : km 24.09 - alt. 8 m - Cross the roundabout approach road and continue forward along the shared use path.
  59. 58 : km 24.68 - alt. 8 m - Bear left into the entrance area of the Westgate Leisure Centre.
  60. 59 : km 24.74 - alt. 9 m - Bear right at the mini-roundabout and then almost immediately left onto a shared use path.
  61. 60 : km 24.85 - alt. 8 m - Bear right to go through the tunnel under the roundabout approach road.
  62. 61 : km 25.1 - alt. 10 m - At the traffic bollards, turn right to return to Chichester Station.
  63. S/E : km 25.16 - alt. 10 m
