2. 1 : km 0 - alt. 44 m - Leave the station from the London bound platform 1. If you are tracking your route, this is the place to start the tracking. Turn left along Station Road (unsigned.)
3. 2 : km 0.05 - alt. 44 m - Bear right along North Street.
4. 3 : km 0.15 - alt. 46 m - At the end of North Street, turn round and retrace your steps to Station Road.
5. 4 : km 0.24 - alt. 44 m - Bear left along Station Road.
6. 5 : km 0.28 - alt. 44 m - Turn left for a few paces along Grays Road then cross the road, turn back and continue along Station Road.
7. 6 : km 0.39 - alt. 42 m - From Grays Road, walk about 100 yards along Station Road. This will take you to a large tree on the left-hand side where you turn round and return to the station.
8. 7 : km 0.51 - alt. 44 m - Cross the station footbridge and then walk forward along the station access road.
9. 8 : km 0.59 - alt. 43 m - Turn right and walk past the shops and over the level crossing.
10. 9 : km 0.74 - alt. 44 m - Once over the level crossing, continue forward and up the hill (Farncombe Street.)
11. 10 : km 1.07 - alt. 56 m - Pass Nightingale Road on you left and then cross the road. Then take the second on the left (Farncombe Hill.)
12. 11 : km 1.16 - alt. 58 m - Bear slightly left along the minor road called Off Upper Manor Road.
13. 12 : km 1.3 - alt. 66 m - Bear slightly left to go up the footpath.
14. 13 : km 1.37 - alt. 80 m - Cross the road (The Brambles) and continue forward along the footpath.
15. 14 : km 1.46 - alt. 92 m - At the second road, turn right across a small car park and then along the track.
16. 15 : km 1.57 - alt. 93 m - Cross the road (Twycross Road) and continue forward along the footpath.
17. 16 : km 1.71 - alt. 96 m - Bear right to continue along the footpath.
18. 17 : km 1.75 - alt. 95 m - Almost immediately, bear left.
19. 18 : km 1.79 - alt. 95 m - Exit the grassy area at the far corner and follow the narrow path between shrubs and then beside a fence.
20. 19 : km 1.87 - alt. 94 m - Cross the road (Twycross Road) and find the footpath immediately in front of you on the other side. It's just to the left of the lamppost and hard to see until you are right on top of it!
21. 20 : km 1.95 - alt. 87 m - Follow the path down and, at the bottom, turn left along the road (Charterhouse Road.)
22. 21 : km 1.98 - alt. 84 m - A short distance down the hill, just before the stone bridge that spans the road, bear left by the bus stop and go up the closed-off roadway (Sellar's Hill.)
23. 22 : km 2.14 - alt. 94 m - Turn right along Twycross Road
24. 23 : km 2.28 - alt. 94 m - Turn right along Frith Hill Road.
25. 24 : km 2.86 - alt. 74 m - There are some attractive views of Godalming as you descend the hill. (There is also a seat but, sadly, it is not positioned to enjoy the view!) - View point
26. 25 : km 3.01 - alt. 56 m - Descend the hill to the T-junction and turn sharp right down Deanery Road.
27. 26 : km 3.23 - alt. 38 m - Turn left at the cross roads. - Pub
28. 27 : km 3.35 - alt. 40 m - Just before the railway bridge, bear left up a few steps and then up the footpath.
29. 28 : km 3.47 - alt. 55 m - At the top, bear right along Deanery Road.
30. 29 : km 3.77 - alt. 49 m - Pass the cemetery on your left and then, at the T-junction, turn sharp right over the rail bridge, crossing to follow the pavement on the other side of the road (Nightingale Road.)
31. 30 : km 4.1 - alt. 38 m - At the T-junction, bear left along Chalk Road. - Seat
32. 31 : km 4.22 - alt. 37 m - At the roundabout, turn left up the cycle-way/footpath.
33. 32 : km 4.3 - alt. 40 m - At the end of the shared-use path, bear left along the road (Marshall Road.)
34. 33 : km 4.41 - alt. 45 m - Turn first right (Wolseley Road.)
35. 34 : km 4.55 - alt. 46 m - In about 150 yards, just before Llanaway Road turns off to the right, turn left along the path/track between the houses. It looks as thought it is just going to lead to garages but you will find a gate on your right leading into the recreation ground.
36. 35 : km 4.78 - alt. 44 m - Cross the recreation ground (Canon Bowrings Ground) and exit via the far corner, turning right along the road (Lower Manor Road.)
37. 36 : km 4.86 - alt. 43 m - Go straight ahead at the cross roads along Fern Road.
38. 37 : km 4.97 - alt. 42 m - Turn first right along Kings Road.
39. 38 : km 5.26 - alt. 36 m - At the end of Kings Road, turn left along Meadrow to pass the Leathern Bottle pub on your left. - Pub
40. 39 : km 5.33 - alt. 36 m - Turn left into Wey Court and then through the car park to the far end. - Seat
41. 40 : km 5.49 - alt. 38 m - At the top of the car park, exit via the left hand corner and then turn immediately right along Broadwater Lane.
42. 41 : km 5.53 - alt. 38 m - Turn down the first alleyway on your left and then forward along the road (Bramswell Road) to the far end.
43. 42 : km 5.7 - alt. 42 m - Turn right and skirt the oval of grass via the left hand pavement.
44. 43 : km 5.81 - alt. 41 m - Bear left and continue forward to the T-junction.
45. 44 : km 5.97 - alt. 42 m - Turn left along Summers Road and continue to the station access road.
46. 45 : km 6.06 - alt. 42 m - If you are continuing your walk, turn round, retrace your steps along Summers Road and continue forward to the level-crossing. (If you prefer to follow the route in two sections, turn off you tracking here. You are at the station and there are shops and cafes close by if you would like some refreshment before setting off home.) - Cafes and shops

48. 47 : km 6.37 - alt. 42 m - Cross Station Road and continue forward along Bourne Road.

50. 49 : km 6.74 - alt. 42 m - Cross a further three side roads (George Road, Molyneux Road and Warren Road.) At Warren Road, Bourne Road becomes Green Lane. About 100 yards from Warren Road keep a sharp lookout for a path on your left. It is just past a high hedge and you do not see it until you are right by it. Follow this path.
51. 50 : km 6.79 - alt. 43 m - Cut diagonally across the small recreation area to exit via the far-left corner.
52. 51 : km 6.9 - alt. 44 m - At the end of the path, turn left (Combe Road.)
53. 52 : km 6.94 - alt. 44 m - At the end of the road turn left along Warren Road.
54. 53 : km 7.09 - alt. 42 m - At the cross-roads, turn left along Green Lane.
55. 54 : km 7.33 - alt. 43 m - At the small parade of shops, turn right along Long Gore. - Shops and seat
56. 55 : km 7.58 - alt. 42 m - Follow Long Gore around the bend to the left and then, in about 150 yards, take the first turning left along Broad Acres.
57. 56 : km 7.73 - alt. 43 m - Cross Downer Meadow and almost immediately turn left then right along Spring Grove.
58. 57 : km 8.01 - alt. 49 m - At the top of Spring Grove, turn left.
59. 58 : km 8.36 - alt. 58 m - Pass Oak Close and follow Binscombe Crescent around to the right. At the top, by the shops, cross the road (Binscombe Lane) and take the path into the open space ahead. - Shops and seat
60. 59 : km 8.58 - alt. 66 m - Keep forward along the main path ignoring other paths to the right and to the left. The main path skirts close to the woodland on your left and then cuts steeply up the hill to the trees at the top. (As you climb the hill, you may like to pause and turn around to admire the view. You will see Loseley House and its estate running along the slopes with the ridge of the Hogs Back in the distance.) - View point
61. 60 : km 8.7 - alt. 89 m - At the top of the path turn left down the disused road (Farncombe Hill.)
62. 61 : km 8.79 - alt. 81 m - At the road, bear left and continue down the hill. This a fairly busy road so you may wish to cross to the footway on the opposite side.
63. 62 : km 8.91 - alt. 66 m - Just past the first building on your left, turn left along the footpath. It is not immediately apparent and you may need to cross the road to find it.
64. 63 : km 8.96 - alt. 65 m - At the end of the path, bear right and then follow the road round to the left and down the hill (Hall Close.)
65. 64 : km 9.06 - alt. 60 m - Turn right (Binscombe Lane.)
66. 65 : km 9.21 - alt. 56 m - At the cross-roads turn left along Elizabeth Road. - Seat
67. 66 : km 9.41 - alt. 48 m - At the bottom of the hill, turn left into Perrior Road.
68. 67 : km 9.53 - alt. 46 m - Turn first left into More Road.
69. 68 : km 9.72 - alt. 55 m - Follow More Road around to the left and up the hill. Turn left into Tudor Road.
70. 69 : km 9.8 - alt. 51 m - Turn first left into Tudor Circle.
71. 70 : km 9.86 - alt. 49 m - At then end of Tudor Circle, follow the narrow alley that's slightly to the right. You need to get close to see it!
72. 71 : km 9.93 - alt. 47 m - Cross Perrior Road and follow Elizabeth Road in front of you.
73. 72 : km 10.09 - alt. 46 m - Turn left into George Road.
74. E : km 10.21 - alt. 43 m - Follow the sharp bend around to the left and then, almost immediately, at the bend to the right, the route ends. Turn off your tracking and retrace your steps along George Road to the cross roads. You will find the station on your left a short way along Grays Road.
