- S/E : km 0 - alt. 129 m
- 1 : km 0.01 - alt. 129 m - Enter the park from Orchard Avenue, turn right and walk along the upper perimeter passing the dis-used cricket pavilion on your right
- 2 : km 0.15 - alt. 128 m - In the far corner, pass through the opening leading onto a public footpath. After about 300m follow the footpath sign where it turns right between tall hedges, continue along the footpath as it turns left into open farmland
- 3 : km 0.98 - alt. 132 m - When the footpath joins a concrete farm track, cross over to re-join the footpath which cuts between the fields, with hedging on your left continue until it joins the Nicky Line
- 4 : km 1.39 - alt. 130 m - Turn left onto the Nicky Line and continue for approximately 400 meters until you reach a small cross path junction, turn left and follow the path as it takes you passed Knott Wood on your right. Continue along this made up path across open fields and over the farm track before walking between fenced fields and reaching a junction with another track
- 5 : km 2.53 - alt. 128 m - Turn left towards some farm buildings and after about 200m turn right onto a tarmac drive with the Broadbalk Experiment information board on your left
- 6 : km 3.03 - alt. 127 m - After approximately 300 turn left by an old oak tree – look for the Broadbalk experiment signs. Follow the track as it turns left and passes in front of some farm cottages. Once passed the cottages turn right and follow the straight track with farmland on either side
- 7 : km 4.07 - alt. 131 m - At the end of the track turn right to re-join the footpath used on the outward-bound stretch and re-trace your footsteps back into the Park and to Orchard Avenue
- S/E : km 4.84 - alt. 129 m
