Castles 19 - Week 2 - 6.5K

Vibrant Coventry... England’s 9th largest city is known for its industrial past (think cars, bicycles and ribbons), Lady Godiva, and of course the devastating bombing in WWII which practically destroyed St Michael's Cathedral., Wilmcote Coventry, today is a city of unsung art and culture.

This walk between Canley and Coventry railway stations explores the green spaces of Canley Ford Local Nature Reserve, Top Green Park, and Coventry’s largest city park, the stunning War Memorial Park.

This trail explores the remaining areas of woodland from what was once part of the great Forest of Arden. Historically this was an area of scattered farmsteads, mostly belonging to the Stoneleigh Estate. You’ll still see occasional older buildings amongst the modern development as well as the plaque which marks the site of the former Massey Ferguson Factory.

This circular walk covers a delightful area of Warwickshire countryside between Coventry and Balsall Common, crossing fairly flat farmland, some woodland and quiet lanes. This is walk 30 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

This trail takes you from the heart of Kenilworth and out across farmland and open countryside, with many attractive views. You are a stone’s throw from the babbling Inchford Brook, the rolling greenery of Abbey Fields, and some monumental WW2 relics at Goodrest Farm. You’ll also get even closer to some gorgeous Alpacas before the halfway point!

This circular walk starts right by the historic Kenilworth Castle and continues across mostly flat farmland & open countryside, with many attractive views. You will encouter some gorgeous Alpacas before halfway! This is walk 24 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

A pleasant walk through the Warwickshire countryside. The start is Kenilworth where you have the opportunity to visit the castle. The route includes a section of Millennium Way long distance footpath.
