- S : km 0 - alt. 212 m - Look out for the blue South Loch Ness Trail sign - Left
- 2 : km 0.81 - alt. 260 m - The SLNT sign is obscured by bushes on the inside of a sharp left. Just before that there is a Trail of the Seven Lochs sign on the right side of the path. - Sharp left
- 3 : km 3.43 - alt. 163 m - At the bottom of the zig-zag you reach T-junction. The diversion path is left/striaght on and looks the more trodden path. The closed SLNT route is well signposted. - Diversion start
- 4 : km 4.38 - alt. 25 m - Cross the road and continue on the trail on the other side. - Cross the road
- 5 : km 5.02 - alt. 23 m - SLNT closed, continue along the road - Follow road
- 6 : km 8.48 - alt. 24 m - Take the trail on the right hand side of the road. Go left through the gate signposted 'South Loch Ness Trail Diversion North' - Re-join the trail
- 7 : km 10.04 - alt. 23 m - The trail briefly rejoins the road to cross a small stream but re-join the trail immediately after. - Cross stream on road
- 8 : km 10.76 - alt. 39 m - Follow the rough track down to the road and across to Balachladaich - Balachladaich
- E : km 10.84 - alt. 26 m
