Waypoints

  1. S : km 0 - alt. 40 m
  2. 1 : km 1.23 - alt. 39 m - Big broken weir, very large stones. Not runnable (in normal conditions) but can be easily portaged to river right. Approach can be shallow but tends not to be too fast flowing. - Weir
  3. 2 : km 8.36 - alt. 30 m - Broken weir with exciting looking chute- however, very dubious as to how 'clean' the chute is as there is an abundance of stones in the very near vicinity! Recommend portage if not in a very durable boat! - Weir
  4. 3 : km 8.75 - alt. 31 m - Large weir with double drop - approx 50cm and 80cm. Not easily runnable and with potential for stopper at higher water levels. However, approach under bridge is shallow and there is an easy route around on LHS where canoe could be lined or portaged. This would only be safe in lowish water levels but exit river left should give vantage point for inspection. If all else fails - portage via footpath crossing busy road and bridge! - Weir
  5. 4 : km 9.85 - alt. 27 m - Broken weir, some rocks but can be run easily. - Weir
  6. 5 : km 18.34 - alt. 20 m - Linton Bridge: has been under repair for over a year since flooding. Think access should be ok by water. If not, portage should not be a major stress. - Linton Bridge.
  7. 6 : km 21.86 - alt. 18 m - monster of a weir with a vertical drop of about 1.5 meters - no chance in an OC! However, easy portage via slip and steps to left hand side. - Weir
  8. E : km 21.93 - alt. 17 m
