Park your car at Park Avenue car park for example.
(S/E) Go down left the road to crossroads. Turn left in Higher Stennack for 500 metres, continue straight going past two roundabouts and turn right in Alexandra Road. Cross over Tremar Road and go up until you find a footpath on your left before St Ives RFC.
(1) This path leads to Praze-an-creet. Cross over the street to the path in front of you next to the yellow house, go past St John's in the Fields Church. Cross over Hellesvean and follow the path which leads to stone stairs entering an open field.
(2) Turn diagonally right until the path goes along the hedge on your left next to Hellesveor Holidays campsite and a meadow on your right. Bear right when you reach the curving track, go past Turnstones House and continue the track which bends right then left until a junction.
(3) Go straight on the track ignoring footpaths until you join the coastal path. Turn right following "St Ives 1 mile" signpost when you see it. You walk along Hellesveor Cliff (National Trust signpost) until the path becomes larger when you reach Burthallan Cliff and Clodgy Point.
(4) From this point, the view towards Porthmeor Beach and St Ives Head is really beautiful. Continue the South West Coast path, then take an asphalt path next to Man's Head overlooking the beach.
(5) Go past Porthmeor Bowling Club until you Join Porthmeor Hill. Walk this road along the beach for 300 metres and bear left to Black West Road at the fork with The Digey for 150 metres before your turn the first road on your left, Porthmeor road. When you see the beach on your left, take the footpath leading to the grassy hill.
(6) Walk around The Island and ascend the path to St Nicholas Chapel you can see at the top. The view from this head is lovely, particularly at sunset! Then, head towards NCI St Ives Station and continue the coastal path down the stairs leading to Porthgwidden Beach. The path reaches Smeaton's Pier past Bamaluz beach. From the pier, bear right walking the harbour.
(7) Go past St Ives Lifeboat Station next to West Pier. Then, go straight to Pendola walk and turn right in Street-an-pol when you reach St Ives Art Club. At the end of the street, follow Gabriel Street on you right next to the Visit Information Centre which joins North Terrace. Bear left Trenwith Place dead-end (notice funeral information signpost). Climb the stairs reaching the car park.(S/E)
