Baladenweg, Molmerswende
Literature meets nature: the Balladenweg in Molmerswende combines hiking with the fascinating stories surrounding the poet Gottfried August Bürger. The circular route, approximately 6.5 km long, winds through the varied landscape around his birthplace.
Far from the noise of roads and traffic, the route invites you to enjoy a relaxing break in the heart of nature. Here, the tranquillity of the countryside blends with Molmerswende’s literary heritage. In future, audio stations are to be installed along the trail, where visitors can experience selected ballads and further content relating to Gottfried August Bürger.
The circular trail is particularly suitable for literature enthusiasts, families and walkers who wish to combine nature, culture and regional history. The result is a special walking trail in the Mansfeld-Südharz region that charmingly combines physical activity with literary discoveries.
Around Braunlage
The first section was very pleasant, through a protected nature reserve. The second part of the walk was quite boring. The section along the Grensweg, however, was very interesting. Lots of dead trees due to the bark beetle.
