Tankerton Promenade
Explore Whitstable Bay and the promenade from Tankerton Beach to Long Rock. A striking row of beach huts, as colourful as you’d hope and in true English style, lined up in several rows on the hill by the seafront. A lovely discovery – peaceful and airy!

Worth a visit
Do also make sure to visit the western part, along the harbour and beyond, all the way to Whitstable’s historic centre, where the old wooden fishermen’s ‘huts’ line the seafront.
Whitstable Harbour is a must-see, with its “Christmas market”-style huts, stalls offering tastings of local oysters, art shops and a few pubs or “Crab, Fish or Scampis & Chips” eateries.
A really lovely, laid-back spot.
