From Saint-André-de-Valborgne on the D907 towards Les Rousses, turn right at the village exit onto the D10 towards Le Pompidou. Once in the village, turn left. The car park is immediately on the left.
This route is aPR® and is marked in yellow throughout the circular with sections shared with theGRP® -GR®7andGR®67.
(S/E) Take the lane opposite, then turn left, pass in front of the town hall and at the fork, turn right (the road on the left will be the return route). Continue on theGRP® until the intersection with a track.
(1) Turn left, then, before reaching the hairpin bend, leave the track and follow the path on the right to the next intersection: signposted "Bézuc 2 km".
(2) Continue straight ahead until you reach the Col de Tartabisac.
(3) Follow the track to the left for about 50 metres. The track then turns into a path.
(4) Ford the stream and follow the path uphill to the right.
(5) At the fork with another path, take the left-hand path and continue to the bend on the left.
(6) Leave the path you have been following and continue straight ahead. You will reach Bézuc.
(7) Leave the track on the left and take the path opposite. Make sure you keep going in the same direction.
(8) At the crossroads, take the path on the left. Pass the Payssière fountain and continue straight ahead until the next crossroads. The IGN map is incorrect on this section.
(9) Take the path on the left, which leads to a clearing.
(10) Cross it and find the path opposite, which then leads to a road that you cross to reach the Corniche des Cévennes (D9). Cross it and continue on the path opposite. Continue straight ahead until you reach a large rock on the left with a yellow marker. Continue for about 50 metres.
(11) Take a path on the left. It is not very visible but can be accessed via a shepherd's ladder. At the start, follow the barbed wire fence. Further up, the path leads to a clearing.
(12) Head right to cross the small stream called Gardon de Saint-Jean, then go uphill to pass between the buildings of the hamlet of La Bastide.
(13) Continue along the road towards Les Crottes. When the road winds, continue straight ahead. Back on the road, follow it to the right until you reach the hamlet of Les Crottes.
(14) Immediately after the farm, take the path that descends to the left. This path runs alongside pretty limestone cliffs. Continue for about 500 metres.
(15) Follow the path that forms a hairpin bend on the left. Join a tarmac road.
(16) Take it on the left and rejoin the Corniche des Cévennes (D9).
(17) Turn right and, after about 20 metres, cross carefully to take the path on the left. This rejoins the D9 at Abeuradou. Take it again on the left for 150 metres, then at the next bend, leave it to take the small road that leads straight to the starting car park (S/E).
