Description

Start: Pelter Bridge Car Park (LA22 9LW) Grid ref. NY 364 059

(D/A) Exit the car park and take left (West) on the road. Continue on the road until the end (Do not take the path on the right going down the forest), passing the cottages.
Continue straight until reaching a gate.

(1) After 510m or so, pass the gate and continue straight on the large path (Do not take the path on the right going down). Continue on this path for 615m until reaching Rydal Cave.

(2) Coming out the cave, take left (North-West) and continue straight for 125m until seeing a path on your right hand side going down toward a dry stone wall and the shore of Rydal Water. Continue going down until reaching the large path and the wall.

(3) Once on the large path, take right (East) and continue straight until reaching an intersection of paths. Take right on the path going up until the gate (waypoint (1)). Pass the gate and walk back to the car park using the concrete road (D/A)
