Description of the walk

Park at the entrance to the village.

(S/E) Follow the road straight ahead towards the sea.

(1) On the way, visit the Lutheran church (heated).

(2) At the crossroads after the church, follow the path on the left to the end to enjoy the natural surroundings.

(3) Turn back.

(2) Turn left to rejoin the main road heading south.

(4) Observe the port and the underwater hot springs that release a cloud of steam into the sea.

(5) Observe the salt production site using geothermal energy.
Then turn around and head back to your starting point along the same road.

When you see the greenhouses, take the path on your left to visit and discover vegetable cultivation using geothermal energy.

(6) Retrace your steps and continue left to return to the car park (S/E).

Notes

Shortly after the aerodrome, on your left, you will find the only shop selling food and fuel.

Danger: do not touch the water in the ditches, as it comes from a geothermal hot spring.
