Start : Road junction with a Rathlin Ballyconaghan Trail National Trust information panel further down the lane. (BT54 6SB)
(S/E) From the road junction, follow this lane for 200 m until the path curves left and you reach a metal kissing gate on your right-hand side.
(1) Turn right (North-East).
(2) Then follow the waymarked posts (green arrows) straight on bearing round to the left. This route travels in an anti-clockwise direction and leads across open countryside, with views of the East Lighthouse and Scotland further beyond this. The arrows direct you to the top of the cliffs on the northern side of the island.
(3) After around 1.3 Km, you reach a junction, an optional diversion includes going to visit the old Coast Guard Station, so when you reach the farm track, bear right rather than left to wind your way up the hill to the station. Retrace your steps to rejoin the trail.'
Direct you back to the farm track by turning right (South) at the end of the path which winds its way back through the hillside to the junction at the waypoint (2).
Turn right to the metal kissing gate (waypoint (1)), then turn left to go back to the start of the route. (S/E)
