Description of the walk

Park your car near to the Primary School at Bretwartha Brent (along the pavement).

(S/E) Head to the Primary School car park entrance and turn right onto the driveway (notice the dead-end signpost). At the end of the driveway, follow the narrow path along private properties, then go down steep stairs until you reach a junction with the coastal path.

(1) Turn right, then immediately bear left at the fork close to Roy's bench (remember this bench when you come back!). Follow this narrow path above a black and white lighthouse (ignore stairs going down to the sea on your left). You can catch sight of Polperro's harbour. Go up a few steps with handrail and you join again the coastal path. Walk down the Warren, then turn left in front of "the House on the Props".

(2) Continue along the harbour, go past "the Blue Peter Inn", then climb a few steps on your right following "coast path Polruan 6 1/2m" signpost until you reach a lovely viewpoint over the tiny harbour and the beach at low tide.
Ignore the building sat on the cliff, go past a shelter on your right and climb up the path at the fork (a few steps).

(3) Continue straight ahead this nice section of the coastal path until you reach a yellow arrow signpost at a fork (notice a sharp cliff far away). Leave the coastal path, go up to the right and keep the left side at the next fork. Enjoy the view overlooking the coast. At the top of the hill, continue moving closer to an aerial, bear right at another fork until you reach a stone wall. Turn right, then descent left at the fork and you are back to the shelter and the viewpoint.

(4) On your way back, take Lansallos Street (junction with Quay road and Roman Bridge), then turn right on Big Green joining this nice square and Nelson's restaurant. From the square, turn right onto Polperro Talland Street and follow the coastal path until your join again Roy's bench. Climb this last steep slope you went down at the beginning and you are back to your car.(S/E)
