Park at the end of the road leading up towards the hamlet of Chröiz (beyond this point, access is restricted to residents of the hamlet): there are three parking spaces available on a bend about fifty metres before the end of the road.
(S/E) Continue along the track until you reach a fork in the road, where a tarmac road leads down towards three old Walser dwellings. This fork is not signposted: the first marker for Path No. 1 is on a rock to the right at the end of the tarmac section.
(1) Carry on along forest trail No. 1 to the left until you reach trail No. 1F, just after crossing a wooden bridge.
(2) Carry on along Trail No. 1F, which climbs gradually to the right up the Walkhunbach stream, crossing several mountain pastures.
(3) At the junction, leave Trail No. GSW on your right and continue leftwards uphill along Trail No. 1F.
(4) At the hamlet of Mühni and its renovated chapel, turn left and begin the steep climb towards the lakes.
(5) The descent from the lakes follows the same route as the ascent until you reach the junction with trail No. GSW, which you passed on the way up.
(3) Continue left along this path to the hamlet of Chröiz.
(6) At the hamlet, take the track on the right which leads back to the car park. From here, it is also possible to head back down via the GSW path, but this is quite steep. You will reach the junction from the outward journey.
(1) Carry on straight ahead along the path in the opposite direction to the outward journey until you reach the start (S/E).
