Parking in the car park opposite the Town Hall, Avenue Saint-Jean.
(S/E) opposite the town hall, turn right onto Avenue Saint-Jean.
(1) At the junction with Rue Bourchanin, pass in front of Parc Bourchanin (children’s playground), then turn onto Avenue Jacques Nemos. At the junction with Avenue du Sentier, turn left. At the roundabout, continue straight ahead along the small Rue du Rave for about 500 m.
(2) Turn left onto Chemin du Haut Privas, which is actually a street. Enter Charly. After 500 m, past the last house, you will see on your right the shared gardens between Charly and Millery. Continue straight on to the next junction. Turn left onto Chemin de la Croix des Rameaux, passing the Croix Binet with its information plaque.
(3) Then, take the small Route de Frontigny. After 400 m, pass the Rieu wash house. Follow the walls and, at the next junction, turn left onto Chemin de la Croix Bourguignon. After 200 m, turn right onto Rue de l’Abbé Pourrat, in the commune of Millery, and continue along Rue de l’Abbé Joseph Pourrat for 500 m. Pass a tiny chapel on the right, then a remarkable porch.
(4) At the junction of several streets, ignore Rue de la Tourtière and Rue du Coteau and turn into Rue de Flignon, slightly to the right, then walk down this quiet street straight ahead, taking care of the traffic. For your safety, keep to the left-hand side of the street. On leaving the town, there is a panoramic viewpoint over the Monts de Lyonnais and the lake visible below.
(5) Take Chemin de Gravignon on the left; this is the start of the Voie Verte which runs alongside the lake. Ignore the first path on the left and pass in front of some more community gardens.
(6) After 400 m, take the path on your left known as Chemin de la Taille Meule. Be careful in wet weather as the stones can be slippery. At the end of the path, continue along Rue Ninon Vallin until you see the church steeple, then carry on along Rue de Bliesbruck. At the next junction, take Avenue Saint-Jean towards the car park opposite the Town Hall, Avenue Saint-Jean (S/E).
