Departure: park in the pretty open square where the Church of Plancenoît is located.
Address to enter into your satnav: "Place de Plancenoit, 1380 Plancenoit" or "Eglise Sainte-Catherine de Plancenoit".
After the first 100 metres, you will already be on the Rue La Haut trail, which crosses La Lasne, whose source is nearby, and then the Broues stream.
The route then takes the beautiful Sentier des Flamanches, which enters the Bois Impérial for the first time and then descends into a valley via a stone staircase. This staircase is steep, a little uneven and slippery in wet weather. The view from this spot is exceptional.
After crossing another part of the Bois Impérial, you come out once again onto a beautiful rolling plain until you reach the historic cobblestones of the Chemin du Crucifix, close to the hamlet of Les Flamandes. There are so many beautiful views of the rolling hills that you won't know where to look.
Next, the Ruelle Millet brings us closer to the beautiful village of Maransart and its hilltop church.
On the way back to Plancenoit, you can see some beautiful old houses, including another detour into the Imperial Wood, with more beautiful views and picturesque paths.
The last kilometre passes through the charming village of Plancenoit, with its beautiful white houses and hilltop church.
