The three beaches of Marina di Camerota (Pozallo, Blanca and Infreschi)

Suggested walk to reach three superb beaches (the last one, Spiaggia degli Infreschi, being the most beautiful). At the end of April there was no one there and not a boat in sight (but this does not seem to be the case in summer). The route is a return walk starting from a road (alongside which you can park your car). The end of the outward leg isn’t particularly interesting, other than gaining a bit of height to admire the scenery (with high mountains in the background). You can simply visit the three beaches, which shortens the walk, or do a circular route by returning via the road, or even park at the car park (Parcheggio Costa Infreschi) located along the route (provided your car can handle the stony paths).

Description of the walk

(S/E): Roadside parking (it is possible to park further along the route in a car park, but only if your car can handle the stony paths).

(1) Another option is private parking (accessible by car, provided it can handle the stony paths).

(2) Heading off to the right, you can walk down to Pozzallo beach (with access to a beachside bar/restaurant); otherwise, continue towards Calla Blanca.

(3) Heading right, you can walk down to Blanca beach: a spectacular white pebble path, carved out by a stream, winding through the vegetation.

(4) Pass in front of a restaurant. Carry on straight ahead, then continue straight on to climb slightly along a wide path, or head down to the right to descend towards Infreschi beach.

(5) After a long climb along a wide path, you find yourself in the scrubland with a view of the bay.

(6) If you’ve decided to carry on to the end, you can return to the starting point via the road (about 1.5 km) or turn back.

Notes

Plenty of lizards and grass snakes along the route (which will scurry away before you can see them).

Worth a visit

Swimming available at one of the three beaches; bars and restaurants along the route.
