Park in the car park at Place de la Liberté, next to the Cave Coopérative.
(S/E) Cross the car park and turn left into Rue des Aires. At the road, turn right and, at the junction, keep right onto Rue du Poulain (D125). At the next junction, turn left towards Roujan and continue for about 20 m.
(1) Turn right, then take Rue des Jardins on the left. Keep right at the junction with Rue de la Fontaine, then turn sharply right into Rue Puech Troupan and join the main road.
(2) Do not follow the road but turn onto the path on the left running alongside the vineyards for about 700 m. At the fork in the path, turn right and reach a five-way junction. Go left for about 300 m.
(3) Head left up the track through the vineyard (view over the Thongue plain). Further on, cross the road with care, reach the bottom of the valley and cross the wooded area.
(4) Turn right and follow the edge of the woods until you reach a cross-path.
(5) Ignore the Brescou estate on your left and turn right. Cross the road again with the same caution, and continue straight ahead through the vineyards. You will come to a first track.
(6) Take the next track on the right and, at the junction, continue straight ahead, veering slightly to the left: panoramic view of the Causse d’Aumelas opposite. Head down towards Château de la Baume; go round it to reach the D125. Before the road, take the path on the right running alongside the vineyard for about 500 m, then walk carefully along the roadside for a few dozen metres.
(7) Cross the road and turn left onto the track. After a small farmhouse, the track turns right and leads onto a road; take this road to the left for 300 m.
(8) Turn right twice and begin the climb towards Le Travers. Turn left, walk alongside the almond trees and head towards the summit, taking care to follow the markings. Follow the fitness trail to reach the orientation table, which offers a remarkable view (picnic tables).
(9) Return to the track and continue winding through the vineyards until you reach a junction near two buildings.
(10) Turn left and, 300 m further on, at the start of the bend, head down to the right towards the Bourdic estate. Take a sharp right-hand bend to go over the top of it and join a small road. Go up to the right and immediately turn left. Then, carry straight on.
(11) At the irrigation pump, turn right and keep going in the same direction, ignoring the turn-offs on the left. You will reach the road you crossed earlier. Turn left, then right, and do the same again about 200 m further on. You will come to a four-way junction (olive trees).
(12) Turn left and continue along Rue du Moulin (on the right, access to the windmill) towards Alignan-du-Vent. Continue right along Rue des Tioulets.
(13) At Plan de la Croix, turn left onto Rue des Aires, then turn left again and head for the car park (S/E).
