Car park at Col de la Croix de Bauzon.
(S/E) From the car park, cross the D19 and take the small tarmac road opposite, heading due north. At the first intersection, turn left and walk past the ruined buildings. Continue along the path.
(1) At the fork near a high earth embankment on the right, descend to the left onto the track. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on flat ground.
(2) At the next fork, after the sign for "Route forestière de Mayres", take the path on the right to leave the forest.
(3) After re-entering the forest, at the next crossroads, take the lower path. Continue along this forest path for about 2.2 km.
(4) Leave the track and take the first path strewn with stones on your right. Further up, at the crossroads, continue straight ahead to continue the climb to the Col du Pendu.
(5) At Col du Pendu, near the picnic tables, turn right to climb straight up the slope along the edge of a wood on your right.
(6) Just before the corner of the woods, continue climbing straight up the slope, following a faint grassy track.
(7) Before reaching the summit of Les Valadous, turn right onto a path marked with stakes.
(8) Continue along the most obvious path through the undergrowth until you reach a track.
(9) Follow the well-marked track to the right.
(10) At the very first junction with a grassy path ascending to the left (be careful, the entrance to the path is not very well marked), leave the track and follow this path sloping to the left above the track.
(11) Pass close to the ruins of Mas des Pergeyres. At Col des Pergeyres, continue straight ahead along a path that climbs along the ridge to reach the summit of Serre de la Croix de Bauzon. Continue along the ridge. After Rocher des Taillades, at the crossroads, continue in the same direction, taking a path that climbs through woods at first, then across moorland, to reach the summit of Tour des Poignets.
(12) Continue the descent, passing close to the hunting hides, and reach a crossroads.
(13) Turn right onto the track at the hairpin bend.
(14) On the descent, take the path on the right that climbs uphill.
(15) At the end, follow a path overgrown with broom. Continue downhill and turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
