The Auttikönkään Luontopolku waterfall

The Auttikönkään Luontopolku is a short circular walk that showcases several aspects of Finnish Lapland: a powerful waterfall, a deep-gorge river, an unspoilt boreal forest and a few traces of the history of timber floating.

Worth a visit

(1) The waters of the Auttijoki rush between the rocks of the Auttiköngäs waterfall, which is approximately 16 metres high. Next to the waterfall, the old wooden structure serves as a reminder of the days when logs were guided into the river to be transported downstream.
