Start from the car park on the Route de Dhuizon behind the town hall and the school in Neuvy.
(S/E) From the car park, take the forest track (Route de la Suissière) towards the sawmill.
(1) As soon as you’ve passed the sawmill, turn right onto the forest track at the edge of a wooded area. Ignore any side paths. The track enters the Boulogne Forest, signposted by a large sign approximately one kilometre after the sawmill.

(2) Pass through the first barrier before the King Stanislas roundabout, then a second one as you continue along the Allée des Coudrays opposite.
(3) 400 metres after the Stanislas junction, at the top of a gentle incline, leave the wide Allée des Coudrays and turn left onto a less-travelled grassy path. This runs alongside the Étang de Montperché and then crosses a stabilised path running perpendicular to it, the Allée de la Biche.
(3) An alternative route is to continue straight on along the Allée des Coudrays to reach “l’entaille” directly. Then rejoin the path along the edge of the pond on the left. This short detour leads to a magical spot from which to view the pond.
(4) Turn right onto the Allée de la Biche. Pass the Étang crossroads and keep the Allée de la Biche straight ahead. Pass through a gate as you leave the Bois de Boulogne.
No signposting
(5) 500 m after leaving the Bois de Boulogne, leave theGR®®3Cby turning right. Pass the Château de l’Hardonnière on your left. Although hidden behind the vegetation, the château can be admired if you take the access road. The section beyond Château de l’Hardonnière, just by the barrier on Allée du Roi de Pologne, up to the junction with the D18 (6) has become impassable by bike and difficult to navigate on foot due to numerous fallen trees blocking the path and deep ruts that can fill with water (as experienced in October 2026).
(6) Cross the D18 and continue along the tarmac path opposite. Pass a pond on your left and some landscaping and market-gardening businesses on your right.
(7) Turn right when you reach the D923, then keep right at the Fork in the road to return to the car park at the start of the walk (S/E).
