Kärsön is a wooded, unspoilt island situated west of Stockholm, Sweden, just before you reach Drottningholm Royal Palace. Forming part of the Lovö Nature Reserve, it is a very popular outdoor recreation area for locals. A main walking trail of around 5 to 6 km circles the island (known as the Yellow Trail or Kärsöleden), offering superb views of Lake Mälaren.
