Description of the walk

Start: Horsey Mill National Trust car park, Great Yarmouth NR29 4EE, Fees apply to non members of the National Trust.

(S/E) From the car park walk towards the windpump (possible to visit it), cross the little bridge to have the canal on your right hand side then walk to the end of the path to have a beautiful view on Horsey Mere. Once finished walked back to the windpump to take the path on the other side (now the canal should be on your left hand side). Walk straight on this path that will bend right after a couple of metres. Stay on this well visible path that follows the shore of Horsey Mere (not visible after a moment) and then the fields until arriving to another windpump.

(1) Turn right on the path on continue straight until reaching another path. Take left then right to reaching some houses. Continue slightly straight on the road to arrive in a field. Stay on the path until reaching an intersection.

(2) Turn left and continue on this path across fields until the road. At the road, turn right (be careful there are no pavements), then after a couple of metres turn left to take the track going to Horsey Gap car park. Continue straight to the car park.

(3) At Horsey Gap you can either use the England Coast Path or walk on the beach. In both cases, turn right to walk south east direction. Continue straight until seeing a large path on the right hand side. If you walk on the beach you will have to find the path through the dunes to access that large path.

(4) Walk on this large path between fields until reaching some houses.

(5) Turn right to follow the road and then directly left at the gate to take a small path. Continue straight on this path that will bend right and then straight until reaching the road. Cross the road to find the car park. (S/E
