Other walks in the area
Torc Mountain via Torc Waterfall

Lovely hike in Killarney National Park, Kerry. An amazing view of the lakes and the park from the top. You can also enjoy the Torc Waterfall, easily accessible from the car park (200 m). Very pleasant transition between Killarney and Kenmare, along the road of the famous Ring of Kerry.
Purple Mountain via the Gap of Dunloe

A beautiful hike in Kerry through the famous Gap of Dunloe: a stunning series of lakes, ravines and passes, crossed by flocks of sheep, in an almost arid mountain atmosphere as you approach the summit. A great option for escaping the crowds that come to the Gap of Dunloe by horse-drawn carriage or car. Breathtaking views of the Gap of Dunloe, Killarney's Upper Lake, the Black Valley, the ocean (to the west and south-west) and Ireland's highest peak, Carrauntuohil.
Purple Mountain from the Gap of Dunloe

The route passes through three peaks: the two peaks of Purple Mountain and Tomies Mountain. The descent is quite challenging with some steep drops. The main difficulty is staying on the trail, which is very subtle, especially on the final descent.
Breathtaking scenery! Beautiful views of the Strickeen and Carrauntuohill mountains.
The two peaks of Les Paps in a loop starting from Clonkeen

Circuit with ascent of the two famous Paps peaks. Good path in the first part, then off-trail descent through heather to a forest road. Superb views of the peaks if the sky is clear.
