Other walks in the area
Spurn Head from Kilnsea
This walk explores one of the extremities of East Yorkshire walking the length of the Spurn Head from Kilnsea. The walk offers wide views of the Hymber Estuary and also provides some excellent bird watching at certain times of the year.
Round Binbrook via Mill

This walk explores the area around the village in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The walk starts in the old Market Place, and although markets are no longer held here, it is still an important trading area of the village with many local shops.

Paths, Ponds and a Priory
A wonderful walk through grassy valleys and over open hilltops. The walk crosses the site of the old Orford Priory, now a series of lumps in the ground, once an important settlement.
On Foot from Fotherby - North Elkington
A pleasant 6 miles walk from Fotherby towards North Elkington, passing through a Deserted Medieval Village, with fine views of the eastern edge of the Wolds, across the marsh towards the coastline and round to the Humber.
In Ore of Our Past

This walk passes through an area that was, until just a few decades ago, one of the most industrial parts of the Wolds. Today the Nettleton Valley is a grassy, peaceful picturesque place, and from the top, there are fine views towards the River Trent and Lincoln.
On the Wild Side
Starting from Ludford, this dog-friendly walk joins the Viking Way long distance footpath and leaves the village past the old 101 Squadron airfield, skirting the edge of the Deserted Medieval Village at Wykeham and leaving the Viking Way. Onwards and upwards to Great Tows, the highest point of the walk where there are fine views of the Wolds top and often a brisk breeze blowing.
Two Churches and a Canal via North Cockerington
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a 8.5 mile walk exploring the Louth Canal and nearby village of North Cockerington. Keep a watch for the darting blue of the kingfisher or the antics of the moorhens as they squabble amongst themselves.
