Worth a visit

(1) The small farm at Ryttartorpet Tidstorp is an18th-century military estate that has been reconstructed to showcase the lives of Swedish soldier-farmers of the time.

(2) Valla Gård is the rural and agricultural section of the open-air museum, showcasing life in the Swedish countryside of yesteryear with its historic barns, farm animals and old trains.

(3) Stadskvarteren is the urban quarter of Gamla Linköping. It is a veritable time capsule that recreates the atmosphere of a small Swedish town from a century ago, with its cobbled streets and traditional wooden houses saved from demolition, now home to charming artisan shops.
