Description

(S/E) Start at Pinderfields Hospital pay and display car park. Turn left at the entrance (roundabout with Bar Lane/ Ouchthorpe Lane). Cross the road and walk on the footpath.

(1) Continue along the footpath but look out for a footpath that bears off to the right alongside the new housing estate. Follow the path up a gentle incline to the top of Newton Hill.

(2) From the top of Newton Hill, take the right path and continue walking down a gentle slope to Ouchthorpe Lane keeping the fence to your right. Turn right, walk 50 metres and cross the road at the bus stop. Go through the metal gate into the golf course. Cross the main golf course footpath and branch right onto grass following the marked footpath between the trees and the greens to the bottom of the hill. Turn right keeping the stone wall to your left. Pass through the metal gate and go straight forward.

(3) Keep right at the junction and follow the path with fields on your right. Turn right and follow path between the fields. The path opens up, continue straight across the open field keeping trees to your right. Continue on the footpath and emerge onto Ouchthorpe Lane, bear left and return to the hospital entrance. (S/E)
