Start : Luna Park entrance, 18 Lower Esplanade, St Kilda VIC 3182
(S/E) As you face the Luna park entrance, walk left towards the garden. Walk South-East through the garden towards the car park. Cross the car park then Shakespear Road straight ahead to walk along Chaucer Street with the Community Garden on your right-hand side. Be careful when crossing.
Walk along Chaucer Street for around 360 m to reach the road junction with Blessington Street.
(1) Turn left along Blessington Street. At the road junction with Barkly Street (A29), use the pedestrian crossing to carry on Blessington Street ahead. When you reach the next junction, enter Saint Kilda Botanic Garden gates. Walk past the building on your right going straight at the path junction towards the pond. Walk between the pond on your left and the greenhouse on your right-hand.
At the next path junction past the greenhouse, follow the path right then left (keeping inside the garden). Walk for around 135 m toward the Southern entrance, however, just before take left (North) at the junction and walk to what looks like a roundabout.
(2) Turn right going round the "roundabout" and take the 3rd ext toward the rose garden. Walk as you were exiting to the Northeaster exit but just before the gate, at the junction, turn left to take the gate out on your right onto Foster Street.
Cross Blessington Street to walk along Foster Street for 70 m or so and take the first left along Smith Street. Walk along Smith Street to its end where you reach Barkly Street again. Cross it straight ahead using the pedestrian crossing.
(3) You are now on the famous Acland Street. This is one of the busiest areas in Saint Kilda. Walk along the street along the tramline back to Shakespeare Street. Cross the road to enter the garden again and walk back to Luna Park entrance. (S/E)
