Departure from Simon Pion, Gîte du Brin d'Herbe.
(S/E) Follow the paved road.
(1) At the junction with the return path, go straight ahead and enter the Bois des Rejets.
(2) Take the path on the left and you will come to a small clearing where several forest paths branch off.
(3) Take the path that climbs slightly straight ahead and continue to a fork about 200 metres further on.
(4) Take the path on the right that climbs slightly and leads to a paved road.
(5) The hike continues to the left: you will find a cattle grid with a small gate next to it for horses. For the more adventurous, you can modify the hike by turning right to reach the Grand Taureau viewpoint, which is about 900 m away, following the road. Arrive at the cattle grid at the Grange des Miroirs.
(6) After crossing it, we recommend climbing up into the pasture to follow the road above, where you can enjoy the beautiful meadow scenery and even enjoy a nice gallop just before arriving at the restaurant, when the terrain becomes flatter and free of stones. Be careful not to scare the cows that come to the mountain pastures in the summer. Head to the Les Papillons restaurant, which has a car park, a picnic area open during the day and a children's playground. Tie up your horses and enjoy a moment of relaxation! Remember to book your meals at the restaurant in advance.
(7) Then turn around to return to the Grange des Miroirs. About a hundred metres before, turn right towards the building. Then leave the tarmac road and descend to the left of the farm, through the fields, following a fence on your right. You will come to a cattle gate.
(8) Go through it and remember to close it behind you.
(9) After passing through another gate, enter the woods on a stony path. Further on, leave the woods and rejoin the path you followed on the way there.
(1) Turn right to return to Simon Pion, Gîte du Brin d'Herbe (S/E).
