Simon Pion's horse riding trail

Short loop through the fields (no gates to open) on horseback, with the option of staying at the Brin d'Herbe equestrian lodge. Please note: this route is only possible when the hay has just been cut and the grass in the meadows is short.

Description of the walk

The trail starts at the end of the Simon Pion road, where the old hunting cabin used to be.

(S/E) Follow the road south-west towards the hamlet of Simon Pion.

(1) Cross the hamlet of Simon Pion, passing the Gite Équestre du Brin d'Herbe. Please note, there is a pig farm by the roadside (be careful if your horses have never seen pigs before).

(2) Leave the paved road and turn left onto the gravel path.

(3) Leave the gravel path 150 m further on and turn left across the fields. From here, the route is open with many possible variations depending on the fields! There are some nice areas for galloping. After a half-loop south-east of the Simon Pion road, you will come to the old hunting lodge (S/E).

Reminder: do not cross the fields when the grass is high: only ride here once the hay has been harvested so as not to damage the crops.
