Park in the car park opposite the town hall.

(S/E) From the town hall, head towards the centre of the village, cross the D6086 with care and take Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville opposite. Ignore Rue de l’Horloge on the left, then take the next street and head for Place de la Mairie. Continue uphill along Rue de l’Église. At Place du Porche, carry on straight ahead, passing under the archway, until you reach the fortified church.
(1) After taking in the sights, return to the town hall by following the route back in the opposite direction.
(S/E) Carry on along the small road and, at the three-way junction, turn right and continue to the end of the straight stretch.
(2) Leave the road that branches off to the left and take the path opposite. This leads to a forest track.
(3) Cross it and carry on straight ahead down a very gentle slope. This stretch through the woodland is very pleasant, especially as it is shaded. You’ll emerge at a junction of paths.
(4) Head up to the left and, after a few metres along a balcony-like path, the Pont du Gard comes into view. Cross a track and head towards the ruins of the Pont de Valmale.
(5) Head up to the right, go through the tunnel and reach the top of the Pont du Gard. Take the steps down to the base of the structure.
(6) Turn left and cross the Gardon.
(7) At the end of the crossing, climb the steps on the right. Follow theGR®® north-westwards then northwards, keeping an eye out for side paths. Further on, you’ll come to a road.
(8) Cross it and follow theGR®®63opposite. The ruins of the Nîmes Aqueduct are located along this stretch. You’ll reach the Pont Roupt.
(9) Follow the same path back in the opposite direction to the ruins of the Valmale Bridge.
Yellow markings
(5) Leave the route you have already taken and walk across the centre of the bridge, then turn right onto the steps and, a few metres further on, follow a path. This turns into a track and, several hundred metres further on, leads to a junction of tracks.
(10) Turn left, pass a water tank (at this point, there is a view of Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard) and arrive back at the junction you have already passed.

(3) Turn right and follow the route back in the opposite direction to return to the town hall (S/E).
