Description of the walk

Park along the city stadium.

(S/E) In the village, join Rue de la Mairie and turn left onto Rue Montbrison. At the end, continue straight ahead onto Rue des Champs Novat. Cross Route de la Plaine once, then cross it again.

(1) Leave the village. Take Chemin des Carrés opposite. Follow this path and take the second path on the left. This crosses a field, enters the woods and descends slightly. The Rhône becomes visible. Continue to the mill.

(2) The path climbs and branches off to the left to rejoin Challex.

(3) Return to Rue du Château and follow it to the intersection with Route de la Plaine. Turn slightly left and then right onto this road, which gradually climbs towards the centre, passing a fountain. Continue to the intersection with Rue des Fontanettes.

(4) Turn right. Continue to the end of this street until it joins Route de la Plaine at the edge of the village.

(5) Take the street on the left and join Chemin des Charmilles, which takes you into another country and to the French-Swiss border.

(6) Cross the border, follow the field, then continue straight ahead on Chemin de Brive. This road crosses the Ruisseau des Charmilles before turning left towards the village of Dardagny.

(7) In the village, follow the main road to the left and join Chemin de Bertolier.

(8) Turn left, then continue straight ahead to reach the vineyards. At the vineyards, turn right onto Chemin de Bertolier, then right twice onto Chemin Chalamont. Follow the signs for Tuilière on the left.

(9) Cross a residential area and take the first left onto Chemin des Grand Bois. Turn right and return to France via Chemin de la Buissonnaz. Continue straight ahead until you reach the village of Challex, crossing Pré Moiron.

(10) Turn right onto Rue de la Mairie to arrive at the starting point (S/E).
