Park on Avenida de Sa Punta, south of Cala Galdana. There are plenty of free parking spaces along this residential street, as well as several small car parks. Look out for the red and white markings ofthe GR® 223, which you will follow for most of this hike.
(S/E) From your parking spot, head south and turn left into the small cul-de-sac that ends in a roundabout, at the end of which the hiking trail begins.
(1) Immediately after the roundabout, the trail branches off to the left and gradually descends through the woods towards Cala Mitjana beach.
(2) Turn right and head towards the beach, which is usually quite busy.
(3) Cross the beach and look for the continuation of the hiking trail directly opposite. Leave theGR® 223 on your left. After a fairly steep climb, you will reach a magnificent viewpoint overlooking the cove. Follow the flat path through the woods.
(4) After 400 metres, continue straight ahead, then slightly to the right, ignoring the paths on either side. Then begin your descent to Cala Trebaluger.
(5) At this point, the path seems to stop one metre above the water. Continue slightly to the left, then go through the natural tunnel carved into the rock to emerge after a few dozen metres at the stream you will have to cross to reach the beach: take off your shoes and roll up your trousers, as the water level is around 60 cm, so about knee-deep.
Cross Cala Trebaluger. This beach is the most beautiful on this route and much less crowded than Cala Mitjana, so take the opportunity to go for a swim.
Resume your hike at the end of the beach on your right. The path climbs gently and then reaches a fairly flat rocky area about thirty metres above sea level. Continue along this path to the tip.
(6) Continue along the path on the left and you will reach Cala Fustram, another cove that is also pleasant for swimming.
(7) The path continues north of the cove and then turns right. Continue to Cala d'Escorxada: this cove is quite rocky and swimming is less easy there.
(8) Continue along the coastal path, which becomes narrower and steeper. The markings are easy to follow, but you will encounter a few fallen trees and some fairly steep sections along the way. Join a wider path.
(9) Continue along the path to the right until you reach Platja de Binigaus.
(10) The return journey between Platja de Binigaus and Cala Mitjana is entirely along the Cami de Cavals (GR®223) trail. Turn left, then left again after about 200 metres.
(11) Cross a track and continue straight ahead to join the track leading to Cala d'Escorxada.
(12) Follow it, turning right, then leave it on the left to rejoin the path. You will come out onto the track leading to Cala Trebaluger
(13) Cross over to the opposite side. The path then follows another track, which it crosses several times.
(14) Cross a pretty irrigated plain and follow the path until you reach Cala Mitjana.
(3) Take the same path back to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
